instead of having our standard tapeo next friday, we will have a special tapeo-potluck on saturday
the tapotluck will be held at 7.30 at the Den of Enabling (449 Toepfer Ave)
. bring a nibble (estimate enough for 12 people) and a tipple. if your nibble is to be served hot, you may use our stove/oven.
your nibble may be self-made or purchased, so long as it's tasty!
those who wish to go Inferning afterwards are encouraged to do so!

feeeeeeeeesh fried on friday
It's not tapeo, but a food outting nonetheless (and the craving was brought about by J. talking about it on this list last week). If anyone on the list would care to join me, P!, and the den in partaking of the wisconsin tradition of fish fry...we are venturing out tonight! (not sure where yet) Current Mood: cheerful

cheap-o tape-o tomorr-o!
special cheapo, non-square-centric tapeo tomorrow night! let's meet at 6.00 in the back room of Michelangelo's on State
instead of waiting out in the cold. let's see where our hungry bellies bring us!
ooh, momo and momocha at Chautara, anyone?

reminder + ohemjee so good
tapeo this friday - some tapeosters have indicated limited funds, and my wallet admittedly isn't exactly well-lined right now either. how about we get out of our pricy rut, eh?
let's pick places where we can eat well for less money, and maybe even venture outside of Capitol Loop!Natt Spil
and Cafe Montmartre
are both "nothing over $10" places (and i probably get a discount at the momo). Nick's Bar
on State does a damn good steak sandwich. anybody know a place for a good fish fry
? Ventiane Palace
is always good for spring rolls and beer (and many other things). i've been wanting to try King of Falafel
for a while, and their appetizer menu
looks pretty good. any other thoughts?
in other news, i had dinner at the Natt Spil tonight, and noticed a change on their menu - the good-but-not-impressive crab cakes they once had have been replaced with a new OHEMJEESOGOOD coconut crab cake dish served with a ginger-cilantro sauce. it was fucking tasty.

Third Friday comin' up!
Looks like this coming Friday, 2/16, is the notorious third Friday.
Does the Mad Tapeo Crew strike again?
|Friday, January 19th, 2007|
well, it seems some friends from out of town are coming up today to hang out, so i'm gonna be skipping out of tapas tonight (probably better for my recently-ill stomach anyways).
however, the rest of y'all should still get your food on! take photos and post 'em here!

how time flies! it looks like tomorrow
is our next tapeo!
6.00 Opus again? or shall we try something new?
also, i highly recommend we hit up
Octopus Papercut, due to the very much enjoyable salami experience suibhne_geilt
, and i had there last month.

totally slipped my mind, but we WILL be having a tapeo
let's say 6.00 in front of Opus
again, unless someone else has a better idea. from there, we can figure out our route as we go along. it'll be like improv comedy except without the comedians!

Welcome to mad_tapeo
! after three successful tapas outings, it seemed only appropriate to have a centralized place for discussion and sharing (also, i got tired of spamming my flist).
please make of this community what you will - announcements for new tapeos will be posted here, but please feel free to post on other tapeo-related topics.
